WORDS TO THE MEN OF ALPHA ASSOCIATION
Jim Mosgrove's family was so moved by our paying tribute to Jim Mosgrove that they sent along these remarks in a thank you note to the men of A/2/12, 1966-67
I'm so glad that you and the men of the 4th Division remember my son, Jim Mosgrove Jr. He was proud to serve to serve with all of you.
Bless You All,
Jim's Mother,
Blanche Roberts
We're proud of our Armed Services that fight to save our land. We're proud that it was a 4th Division soldier who captured Sadam.
Jim's Aunt Ruth
Rex Dykes, his cousin, and his wife also signed the thank you card. He noted that he was raised with Jim Mosgrove and served on the USS Kitty Hawk off of Vietnam , 1966-67
Finally it was Janie Dixon, Jim's cousin, who wrote the most eloquent note to the men who served with Jim Mosgrove. She couldn't have written a more touching tribute to us than this verse:
Everyone wants to be with a loved one during their last days. We could not be with Jimbo, but we are comforted that he was with people , like yourselves, who truly cared for him,
Janie Dixon, Jim, cousin
